Visual Branding: Adidas Streetball Stickman Branding

The Mission:

My mission began as a simple assignment: create a graphic for a t-shirt. Codename: Stickman — alias, Jack. But once the Adidas marketing team intercepted the design, everything changed. They saw more than ink on cotton — they saw an icon. Within weeks, Stickman infiltrated the entire Adidas Streetball line, seizing control of merchandise and becoming the face of the campaign itself. What started as a sketch became a global operation.

Results:

The Stickman brand (Adidas Streetball) sold in 22 countries not including the USA and grossed over $200 million worldwide.

The Debrief: Adidas Streetball Steffi Graf

The moment Steffi Graf stepped out from the Monica Seles match, The New York Times caught the timeless silhouette of the original Stickman t-shirt in motion.

The Debrief: Adidas Streetball Stickman Visual Branding

After Jack was introduced to Adidas Streetball an entire Stickman series would soon evolve. There were a total of 12 individual (hand drawn) Stickman designs produced for Adidas, all of them were based on the original Stickman/Jack design. Continue scrolling to see more.
